PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a concrete mixer applicable to the production of hard- kneaded concrete of poor fluidity to be used chiefly for producing concrete blocks and others. SOLUTION: A concrete mixer comprises a horizontal shaft 2 which is installed rotatably penetrating side liners 1 on both sides, a pair of vertical arms 3 erected vertically in the middle of the shaft 2, spiral blades 4 with the base end parts fitted to the tips of the arms 3, a ring 6 for the horizontal shaft 2 engaged rotatably and loosely with the shaft 2, a horizontal shaft cleaning devices 9 which are separated slightly from the surface of the horizontal shaft end part and fitted to the side liners 1, side liner cleaning plates 8 fitted to the tips of the spiral blades 4, and rings 7 for the vertical arms fitted freely slidably to the arms 3. Since concrete is scraped off from the surface with the rotation of the horizontal shaft for operating the concrete mixer, the adhesion of concrete in the mixer is controlled to reduce concrete removing work.
