PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomizer which can selectively atomize liquids having comparatively small particle diameters. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic pump 5 is equipped with a mesh plate 18 which has a large number of pores penetrating from the front to the rear, and sucks up a chemical D being housed in a liquid reservoir 2. At the same time, the ultrasonic pump 5 is constituted in such a manner that the sucked up chemical D may be atomized on the front surface of the mesh plate 18 through each pore from the rear surface of the mesh plate 18. A cylindrical container 4 is equipped with a collision surface 15a which is so arranged as to cross the atomizing direction of the chemical D from the mesh plate 18 in a space between the front surface of the mesh plate 18 and a jetting out port 3 so that the collision with a part of the chemical D having been atomized from the front surface of the mesh plate 18 may become possible.
