PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transaction device capable of accurately calculating a number of stored bills in a rejection box.SOLUTION: An automatic transaction device 10 comprises: a stacker 43 for storing bills for every denomination; a cassette 44 for storing bills to be supplied to the stacker; and a rejection box 46 for storing bills which are determined as unidentified bills or multiple fed bills. The automatic transaction device further comprises a rejection number calculation part 24 for calculating a number of stored bills which are stored in the rejection box. The rejection number calculation part 24 estimates that one bill is stored, if the bill stored in the rejection box is the unidentified bill, and estimates that two bills are stored if the bill stored in the rejection box is the multiple fed bill, to calculate the number of stored bills. When complete check processing for completely checking the number of bills stored in the automatic transaction device 10 for every denomination, is executed, based on difference of the numbers of stored bills, before and after performing the complete check processing, the number of stored bills which is estimated and calculated, is corrected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
