A method comprises: a fixed tag obtaining an instant value from a dynamic number generator within said fixed tag; the fixed tag using a first function to map said instant value and a tag identifier corresponding to said fixed tag to a first secure identifier; and the fixed tag transmitting a first Bluetooth Low Energy message including said first secure identifier. A further method (400) comprises: a mobile tag receiving at least one first Bluetooth Low Energy message transmitted from each of at least two fixed tags (S2), each first Bluetooth Low Energy message including at least a first secure identifier corresponding to the respective fixed tag; the mobile tag using a second function to map each first secure identifier to a respective second secure identifier (S3); the mobile tag measuring a radio parameter for each of the first Bluetooth Low Energy messages (S4); and the mobile tag transmitting at least one second Bluetooth Low Energy message including the second secure identifier of each of the fixed tags and the measured radio parameters associated with each of the received first Bluetooth Low Energy messages (S5), said second Bluetooth Low Energy message enabling the calculation of a position of the mobile tag. |
