PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel cost reduction effect in a motor generator apparatus 1 for a vehicle, which has a rotary electric machine 4 in which the actual number of turns for each phase is variable.SOLUTION: In a rotary electric machine 4, intermediate taps 8U to 8W are provided for coils 7U to 7W respectively, thereby varying the actual number of turns for each phase. Control means 6 performs an inverter operation, thereby altering the actual number of turns for each phase. By virtue of this, since the actual number of turns can be increased or decreased at a high speed, output as a motor or generator can be altered at a high speed, or operation of the rotary electric machine 4 can be switched between the motor and the generator at a high speed. Therefore, it is possible for the motor generator apparatus 1 to improve fuel cost reduction effect.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
