摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode conjugant capable of obtaining sufficient durability even though a catalyst carrying rate on a catalyst layer is high. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane-electrode conjugant (MEA) 20 has an anode catalyst layer 14a and a cathode catalyst layer 14b arranged to face each other, and a high polymer electrolyte membrane 12 arranged between the anode catalyst layer 14a and the cathode catalyst layer 14b, and a fuel cell 10 has the MEA 20. At least one of the anode catalyst layer 14a and the cathode catalyst layer 14b includes at least one kind of a catalyst material selected from platinum and an alloy including the platinum, a catalyst carrier wherein the catalyst material is carried by a carrier, and a hydrocarbon system high polymer electrolyte.
