PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jacket spacer capable of forming a flow passage which exhibits high cooling efficiency in a water jacket.SOLUTION: A water jacket spacer 40 includes a band-like base portion 41 continued in a row direction of cylinder bores 11-11along a bottom 20a of a water jacket 20 in a state of being arranged in the water jacket 20, a first projection 51 extending in an axial direction of the cylinder bore 11from a first portion of the band-like base portion 41 toward a cylinder head 14, and a second projection 61 extending in an axial direction of the cylinder bore 11from a second portion of the band-like base portion 41 toward the cylinder head 14. A flow passage in the water jacket 20 is partitioned into a first flow passage 71 on an exhaust side and a second flow passage 72 on an intake side by the first projection 51 and the second projection 61. The first flow passage 71 is communicated with a cooling liquid introduction port 30. The second flow passage 72 is communicated with a cooling liquid outflow port 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
