PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wastewater treatment equipment and a wastewater treatment method, allowing for reduction in an amount of use of an aluminum-based inorganic coagulant, and allowing for reduction in an amount of generation of excess sludge, for sulfate-containing wastewater.SOLUTION: Sulfate-containing wastewater and an aluminum-based inorganic coagulant are mixed in a mixing tank 2, a flock is generated in a mixed liquid, fluorine in the mixed liquid is adsorbed by the generated flock, and is removed from the liquid. In a solid-liquid separation tank 4, the flock of already adsorbing the fluorine is coprecipitated together with the fluorine, and the flock of not yet adsorbing the fluorine is precipitated, and a solid-liquid separation is performed and these solid-liquid-separated solid contents are supplied to the mixing tank 2. Thus, the fluorine in the mixing liquid is adsorbed and removed from the inside of the liquid by the flock of not yet adsorbing the fluorine and the flock in a state of already adsorbing the fluorine but being capable of further adsorbing the fluorine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
