<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear light source device capable of emitting illumination light more efficiently by preventing light from an LED light-emitting element incident in the vicinity of the end of a light guide member from wastefully leaking to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The linear light source device is provided with a light guide member 120 formed in a rod shape having a major axis line L with transparent resin and having a first end 121 and a second end, and an LED light-emitting element 200 arranged in opposition to a light-incident face 150 directed outward of the major axis line direction for making the light from the LED light-emitting element 200 incident from the light-incident face 150 irradiated from a peripheral face over all areas in a major axis line direction L of the light guide member 120. At the end where the light-incident face 150 is provided in the light guide member 120, an incident light control part 155 is provided expanding its diameter as it is headed inward into the major axis line direction from the light incident face 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
