<p>Cutting apparatus (10) includes a pilot arrangement (20) which has a tip (42). The tip engages a workpiece to form a pilot recess to engage the workpiece and prevent the apparatus skidding across the surface of the workpiece. The tip (42) can retract against the action of a spring (58). Accordingly, the apparatus is prevented from skidding across the workpiece, but wear on the tip (42) is minimised.</p> |
