PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new keratinocyte proliferation promoter having cell proliferation promotion activity of keratinocyte and utilizable as an active ingredient for hair-growing agent and hair-restoring agent. SOLUTION: The keratinocyte proliferation promoter comprises a compound represented by general formula [I]: R1-R2(wherein R1is a higher aliphatic hydrocarbon group and R2is≥4C ring structure which may be substituted, especially preferably, R1is a 10-20C isoprenoid group and R2is furan) or its salt as an active ingredient.
