<p>An apparatus and a method for providing a digital contents service by using a camera in a portable terminal are provided to supply a user with the new digital contents service by using a camera function and convert video data photographed through the camera function into an E-book data, thereby improving convenience of a user. A method for providing a digital contents service in a portable terminal comprises the following steps of: photographing a predetermined object through a camera of the portable terminal(411); converting the photographed video data into a digital contents form corresponding to a request of a user(415); making the video data as digital contents data by corresponding to the conversion into the digital contents form(417); and storing and displaying the made digital contents data on a screen by corresponding to a request of the user(417,421).</p> |
