PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzer constituted so as to detect the light emitted from an analyte with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In the analyzer 60, an optical pickup 62 is constituted so as to irradiate the flow channel 8, which is provided to an analyzing substrate 1, with a laser beam to detect the light, which is emitted from the analyte developed in the flow channel 8 by irradiating the flow channel 8 with the laser beam. The analyzer 60 is further equipped with a pulse circuit 68 for setting the laser beam to length shorter than the life of the light, which is emitted from the analyte, by pulsation. Accordingly, in the analyzer 60, the reflected light of the laser beam and stray light contained in the detection light detected by the optical pickup 62 can be reduced.
