PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an ion generator.SOLUTION: An ion generator comprises: a first substrate 10; second substrates 30 and 40 electrically connected with the first substrate 10 by connection conductors 80 and 81; a transformer drive circuit provided to the first substrate 10; a transformer 50 provided to the first substrate 10, and stepping up a voltage by being driven by the transformer drive circuit; and a discharge electrode provided to the second substrates 30 and 40, and discharging by being applied with the voltage stepped-up by the transformer 50 to generate ions. In addition, the ion generator comprises: a first case part 110 accommodating the first substrate 10 therein; and a first insulating and encapsulating part 90 filling the inside of the first case part 110 with an insulation material to encapsulate the first substrate 10. The first case part 110 includes a container member 110a having an opening for accommodating the first substrate 10. The container member 110a has a convex part 112 storing the first insulating and encapsulating part 90 consisting of the insulation material filled via the opening, and projecting outward for accommodating the transformer 50 therein. |
