A temperature indicating device comprising a submersible body, the device incorporating a temperature sensor, a controller, and at least one light emitting means, wherein the controller is programmed to control the illumination of said at least one light emitting means as a function of the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor. In a preferred embodiment a least a portion of the body is formed from a transparent or translucent material, said one or more light emitting devices being arranged to for selectively illuminating one or more regions of said transparent or translucent portion of the body under the control of said controller. |
