PURPOSE: A telephone set which outputs a receiving indication sound through a speaker when a receiving signal is sensed by means of a receiving ring sensor is provided. CONSTITUTION: The telephone set comprising: a microphone(4) for inputting a predetermined receiving indication sound; a memory(10) for storing the predetermined receiving indication sound inputted by the microphone(4); a receiving ring sensor(3) for sensing whether a receiving signal from an outside is inputted; a sound generating speaker(8); and a controller(11) for controlling the sound generating speaker(8) to generate the predetermined receiving indication sound which is stored in the memory(10).
