PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paper or paperboard colored with a dye and/or a pigment and having excellent antislip properties without causing crocking by friction even in the case of a deep color. SOLUTION: The paper or paperboard is colored with the dye and/or the pigment. In the paper or paperboard, at least one surface of base paper is coated with a coating liquid containing a polymer containing at least a sulfonic acid ester compound, a binder and an antislip agent containing at least silica on at least one surface of base paper.
