PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reliably priming an infusion pump.SOLUTION: The system comprises a priming cap 2608 configured to matably connect with a needle 2612 of a male part 2606 attached to a tubing 2604 for fluid, which may be part of a cannula set and/or infusion set of an infusion pump 2602, wherein when the needle is connected to a septum 2610, the priming cap occludes the tubing. In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, a method for priming an infusion pump assembly is disclosed. The method includes: connecting a male part comprising a needle attached to a tubing to a priming cap comprising a septum; instructing the infusion pump to prime; and priming the infusion pump into the priming cap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 26A |
