PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly of a hub of a vehicle and a bowl-shaped body of a power transmission joint which is optimized in weight, moment of inertia, bulk in the axial direction, easiness of production and easiness of assembling and can exert excellent performance over a long period, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: A subassembly 10 includes a hub 12 composed of a part having an axial-direction cavity 38 opened at ends 40 and 42 on both sides, a bowl-shaped body 34 of a power transmission joint having a shaft part 36 which is formed integrally and inserted into the axial-direction cavity 38 of the hub 12 through the opened end 42, a screw body 44 which has a head part 50 and a screw body 46 screwed into a screw hole 48 of the shaft part 36, and a washer 52 inserted between the head 50 of the screw body 44 and the hub 12. The shaft part 36 is fitted tightly to the axial-direction cavity 38 of the hub 12. |
