<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual surround system for two persons, to acquire a feeling of spread of a sound image. <P>SOLUTION: An audio signal processing apparatus 100 processes channel signals L, R from two channels to reproduce sound from a left speaker SPL, a right speaker SPR and a center speaker SPC. The apparatus 100 is provided with a first crosstalk canceling means 3 for causing the center speaker SPC to output a canceling signal for canceling an output signal reaching the right ear of the listener A from the left speaker SPL, and a second crosstalk canceling means 4 for causing the center speaker SPC to output a canceling signal for canceling an output signal reaching the left ear of the listener B from the right speaker SPR. The crosstalk canceling means 3 is provided with a pair of crosstalk canceling filters 11, 12 having filter coefficients h1-h2 and the crosstalk canceling means 4 is provided with a pair of crosstalk canceling filters 13, 14 having filter coefficients h3-h4, which are used to localize a sound image to channel signals L, R on the basis of a head transmitting function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
