PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent excellent in adsorption/removal properties of Cs and/or Sr even in sea water and a production method capable of easily producing the adsorbent.SOLUTION: An adsorbent includes a chemical compound expressed by one of a general formula (1): ATiSiO.nHO (A denotes at least one kind selected from a group composed of Na, K and Li, and n denotes a number 0-8.), a general formula (2): ATiO.mHO (m denotes a number 0-10.) and a general formula (3): (AH)TiO.mHO (x denotes a number that satisfies 0.1≤x≤2).
