PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of increasing a possibility of acquiring recording matters in an early stage, while reducing defects due to the start of conveyance before completion of reading of one document.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: reading means for reading an image of a document; recording means for recording image data read by the reading means on a recording sheet; conveying means for conveying the recording sheet; prediction means for predicting, when the document size can be determined, a reading completion timing on the basis of at least the document size, and predicting, when the document size cannot be determined, a reading completion timing on the basis of at least the recording sheet size; and control means for starting conveyance of the recording sheet by the conveying means before completion of reading of one document by the reading means if the reading completion timing satisfies conditions, and performing recording by the recording means. |
