The method involves defining pressure losses of a ventilation system and deducing a required minimal pressure corresponding to a minimum flow-rate and a required maximum pressure corresponding to a maximum flow-rate. A pressure-flow-rate curve (CI) is defined between two points (A, B) established previously corresponding to the minimum pressure at the minimum flow-rate and the maximum pressure at the maximum flow-rate. An air flow passing in an air exhaust fan is measured and the required pressure is calculated. A rotation speed of the fan is controlled to provide the pressure value. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for regulating a pressure supplied by an air exhaust fan.
