Provided is a press forming method that forms, by a punch (3) and a die (5), a press formed product having a top portion and an inclined wall portion continuing to at least one side of the top portion and being curved into a convex shape on the inclined wall portion side in the longitudinal direction of the press formed product in a plane view, wherein the method includes a first step for shaping a blank (9) by relative movement of the die (5) to the punch (3) side in a state wherein a die shoulder portion is in contact with a site corresponding to the inclined wall portion in the blank (9), a second step for grasping and holding a site more to the end part side than the site corresponding to the inclined wall portion in the blank (9) with the die (5) and the punch (3), and a third step for forming the inclined wall portion by relative movement of the die (5) to the forming bottom dead center on the punch (3) side in a state wherein the site on the end part side is grasped and held. |
