An apparatus for reforming fuel is provided to resist against oxidation caused by the heat energy generated from partial oxidation or auto-thermal reaction of fuel, to inhibit coke formation, and to improve the reaction efficiency. An apparatus for reforming fuel comprises: a reactor main body(10); a catalytic reaction unit(30) formed inside the reactor main body and generating a hydrogen-containing reformed gas by accelerating at least partial oxidation of reactants comprising hydrocarbon-based fuel and an oxidant; and a heat insulation layer(70) coated on the inner wall of the reactor main body and carrying out heat insulation of the heat generated from the partial oxidation, wherein the catalytic reaction unit comprises a monolithically formed catalyst body(31) installed inside the reactor main body, a first catalyst layer(33) formed on the catalyst body, and a second catalyst layer(80) coated on the heat insulation layer. |
