PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correction device capable of achieving required communication quality while avoiding increase in power consumption more than necessary.SOLUTION: An error correction device 40 comprises: an inner code error correction decoding unit 17 that performs error correction by applying a decoding process corresponding to an inner code to a signal that has gone through error correction coding by an outer code and the inner code; and an outer code error correction decoding unit 18 that repeatedly applies once or twice or more a decoding process corresponding to the outer code to a signal after going through error correction at the inner code error decoding unit 17. On the basis of a decoding result at the inner code error correction decoding unit 17, the error correction device determines the amount of computing necessary for the decoding process performed by the outer error correction decoding unit 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
