<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium processor preventing breakage or the like of an IC terminal or an IC contact. <P>SOLUTION: This medium processor has a conveying path 20 wherein an IC card 100 having the IC terminal 101 is conveyed; drive rollers 22, or the like, conveying the IC card 100 to a prescribed communication position of the conveying path 20; the IC contact 12 contacting with the IC terminal 101 of the IC card 100 conveyed to the prescribed communication position, and allowing communication with the IC card 100; an encoder 34 detecting a positional shift, when the IC card 100 is displaced from the prescribed communication position; and a release means (a CPU 31, or the like) releasing the contact between the IC terminal 101 and the IC contact 12, when the positional shift of the IC card 100 is detected by the encoder 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
