<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast program recording system for digital broadcast program, capable of recording only a required scene always suited to the viewer's newest taste, even if the taste of a viewer viewing digital broadcast changes. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast station side creates a recording subject decision program beforehand. The recording subject decision program and scene information, which are content additional information, are multiplexed onto programming body information for each programming to be broadcast, and it is broadcast from a transmitter at the side of broadcast station. At the same time, a broadcast program recorder executes the recording subject decision program to acquire a taste information for a viewer, and determines a criterion for a recording subject. Then, a stored criterion for the recording subject beforehand is updated. Thereafter, the scene information is separated and extracted from received service information. The extracted scene information is classified into a scene to be recorded and a scene not to be recorded in the light of the criterion for the recording subject.
