PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hydrogen oxidizing bacteria to which a target protein gene has been introduced and capable of extracellularly secreting 70% or more of the total amount of expressed protein, and methods for producing target proteins using the hydrogen oxidizing bacteria.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for expressing a protein by introducing a target protein gene and a transport protein gene into a hydrogen oxidizing bacterium, where the transport protein is a polypeptide of a specified sequence. In certain embodiments, the hydrogen oxidizing bacterium is a bacterium of the genus Ralstonia, and the target protein is Fc binding protein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
