PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a solid object, by which development of streaks parallel to a main scanning direction on a solid object can be suppressed.SOLUTION: The method for molding a solid object includes: a slice information calculation step (step ST23) of segmenting a three-dimensional data of a solid object into a plurality of layers to calculate cross-sectional slice information of each layer; and a unit layer forming step (step ST27) of forming each layer based on the cross-sectional slice information, in which the unit layer forming step (step ST27) is repeated a plurality of times. In the unit layer forming step (step ST27), a printing step (step ST27A) of discharging an ink onto a work surface while moving a discharge part in a main scanning direction to form a single line of print path, and a sub-scanning direction moving step (step ST27B) of moving the work surface in a sub-scanning direction are alternately performed. The print path is formed in such a manner that at least a part of a boundary between print paths in layers adjoining in a stacking direction of layers is shifted in the sub-scanning direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
