1424789 3 - Benzylidenehydrazino - 6 - (2- hydroxypropyl) - aminopyridazine derivatives ISF SpA 22 Oct 1974 [9 May 1974] 45631/74 Heading C2C Compounds of Formula I in which R is a C 1-3 alkyl radical optionally substituted by a hydroxyl group, are obtained by reacting a thiopyridazine of Formula II in which X is -Cl, -Br or -SCH 3 , with an aminoalcohol of Formula III R-NH-CH 2 -CH(OH)-CH 3 to give an aminopyridazine of Formula IV which is then reacted with hydrazine (e.g. the hydrate) and thereafter with benzaldehyde. All of the steps are preferably effected with heating (e.g. under reflux) and the reaction to produce IV is generally carried out in an inert organic solvent (e.g. toluene or a xylene). The reactions with hydrazine and benzaldehyde are preferably effected in an aprotic solvent (e.g. DMF) and the last step generally at pH 3 to 6. |
