<p>Independent suspension arms (2, 2b) for the rear wheels pivot about points (A, B) at their inner ends. The chassis cross member (1) above, carries a conventional brake pressure limiter (3) connected between the master cylinder and the brake actuator, with an operating button (4), underneath. This rests against a pivot arm (5) which can be raised to a horizontal position to operate the button (4). The end of the pivot arm remote from the button is supported on a vertical pressure rod (7) attached at its base through a pivot pin (10) to a cross member (11) which connects with the suspension arm pivots (A, B) and which term inates in resilient bushes (14, 14a). Vehicle loads alter the slope of the cross member, this movement being transferred through the vertical pressure rod (7) and pivot arm (5) to operate the brake pressure limiter (3).</p> |
