Security closure for bottles - is plastics cap fitting on smooth neck which can be used for resealing contents for further use

The neck (1) has a raised rim (4) around it a short distance below the lip, leaving a smooth band at the top. A plastics sealing cap is fitted into the bottle opening, having deep straight sides (6) and a slightly smaller bottom (7, 8). The top is formed downwards to give a flange (10) and head (11) fitting over the bottle lip. Over this is a metal sealing foil (3), this being compressed onto the bead (11) of the cap, over the raised rim (4) and under the bottom (5) of the neck. At rim level are two lines of perforations (12, 13), spaced apart to form a tear off opening strip (14).
