The side wall section comprises the upper and lower longitudinal beams supported against the roll-over protection frame of the vehicle, as well as a one-piece pane of e.g. transparent plastic having at its rear end a border strip which is U-shaped in cross-section. The upper and lower edges of the pane are located movably in U-shaped horizontal support and guide rails on the longitudinal beams. The rear border strip extends over the full height of the pane and forms a hand grip for sliding the pane along the rails. The sliding pane can be secured in its normal closed position by e.g. a bolt which is engaged in the guide rail profile.
