PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new system for collecting information about piping.SOLUTION: According to this invention, a system collects information about piping. An information collection system includes: a flexible long body that can be inserted into piping; propulsion means connected to the long body to propel the long body; one or more ultrasonic sensors fixed to at least one of the long body and the propulsion means; a pulser receiver for controlling the ultrasonic sensors to cause the ultrasonic sensors to transmit a pulse ultrasonic wave, and detecting an echo signal of the pulse ultrasonic wave; and signal strength recording means for recording a profile of signal strength of the echo signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
