Modular optoelectrical transducer with LED - has projecting light guide part of insulated optical cable

All transducer components are cast in an insulating compound forming a compact module from which contact pins project on one side. An optical conductor in contact with the LED, emerges from its other side. The optical conductor emerging from the module (2) is the beginning or end of an optical transmission element (4) belonging to an optical cable covered with a flexible plastic sheath (3). The sheath end enters the module, in which it is cast in the compound. The other end may be mounted along with electrical plugs on the amplifier base plate.
