The flash gun with a magazine fed supply of flash bulbs has the bulbs on a belt (2) moved through the two part reflector (4) which opens to admit a bulb and closes to form a complete reflector prior to flash firing. The belt is driven by a spring drive released by a control cam. The magazine provides a low cost belt fed supply with a simple drive. A coil spring (20b) about the drive shaft provides the power and the two reflector halves are moved at the ends of crossed levers (10). The bulbs are fired by a piezoelectric crystal.
