The shakerless self-propelled combine harvester with drum and concave has a series of parallel separator drums one after the other in the transport direction, each with a perforated sheet-metal trough underneath having friction bars parallel to the drum axis. The holes (6) in the troughs can be partly masked, and the troughs themselves have raised ribs parallel to each other in the direction of material flow. Masking can be by slides (10) underneath the troughs, and with perforations which can be brought into line with those in the latter.
