PURPOSE:To manufacture polygonal fine powder of maraging steel with high corrosion resistance by subjecting maraging steel contg. specified percentages of Ni, Co, Mo, Ti, C, Si, Mn and Al to soln. heat treatment and age precipitation treatment at a specified temp. and immersing the steel in a corrosive aqueous soln. CONSTITUTION:Maraging steel consisting of 17.5-18.5% Ni, 11.7-12.4% Co, 3.8-4.5% Mo, 1.20-1.35% Ti, <=0.001% C, <=0.05% Si, <=0.05% Mn, 0.05-0.15% Al and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is subjected to soln. heat treatment and age precipitation treatment at 400-450 deg.C. The steel is then immersed in a corrosive aqueous soln. to form relatively uniform crystalline fine particles of several 10mum order. |
