The invention relates to an apparatus for keeping constant the sealing time or the effective heating capacity in the heat-sealing of the transparent wrappings of cigarette packs, by controlling the angular speed of an actuating means (18) of the sealing tool (2) by control means (20) in such a way that the sealing tool always assumes an effective sealing position constant in time, irrespective of the particular machine speed, in order to prevent a harmful influence or damage as a result of the overheating of the wrapping material during the sealing operation.
