Reference system with reference electrode for analytical measurement techniques, with an electrolyte-bridge system having two diaphragms in series, the bridge electrolyte being in pressure equilibrium with the measuring medium via a flexible membrane in the wall of the vessel containing it. The membrane preferably supports the first diaphragm. The reference electrode forms a glass tube comprising one of the diaphragms. The reference electrode forms a glass tube comprising an electrolyte, which has a constant pH in the same way as a buffer solution and which communicates with the bridge electrolyte via a second diaphragm, the offtake system of the reference electrode being immersed in the reference electrolyte in the form of a hermetically sealed and non-poisonable pH glass electrode.
