PURPOSE:To obtain a glass electrode film singularly responsive to an anion by making composition consisting of phosphoric anhydride, cupric oxide, alkaline earth metal oxide, aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide which are blended in the specified proportion of the composition of glass constituting said glass electrode film. CONSTITUTION:The composition of glass constituting a glass electrode film consists of 5-20 (by mol% per total quantity, hereafter) phosphoric anhydride, 5-20 cupric oxide, 5-35 alkaline earth metal oxide, 5-20 aluminum oxide and 5-20 silicon dioxide. The glass electrode film is made of the above composition by an ordinary method.
