PURPOSE:To make it possible to machine several kinds of articles by a single working line to aim at miniaturizing the installation of the working line, by previously storing, in a memory, the combination of delivery and introduction stations about workpieces for several kinds of articles so that introduction and delivery operations are controlled in accordance with the content of stored memory. CONSTITUTION:When containers storing therein workpieces are successively introduced from the inlet 4A of a conveyor 1, stations 6 which have been arranged in the order of working steps receive the containers. After completion of working by a worker 7 a control device 26 delivers a signal g3 to actuate a cylinder 21 by means of a control board 23 so that a container storing therein work-completed articles is shifted onto the conveyor 1. Then the control device issues a signal g2 to the next downstream side station to actuate the cylinder 17 by means of the control board 18 to introduce a container. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent collision between containers and as well erroneous introduction into stations and so forth. Further, the interruption of working and as well the movement of containers may be freely made. Thus the machining of several kinds of articles may be made, and as well the space of installation may be made narrower.
