PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing an aqueous resin dispersion consisting of a hydrophilic group-containing vinyl resin containing ethylene oxide units and an epoxy resin as an essential component, having improved corrosion resistance, safe and hygienic with little bad smell without damaging environment. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous resin coating composition obtained by using an aqueous resin dispersion prepared by dispersing (A) a hydrophilic group- containing resin containing ethylene oxide units, e.g. containing 0.5-20wt% hydrophilic monomer having 0-30 acid value and hydrophilic group containing 35-350 ethylene oxide units having 2,000-200,000 number-average molecular weight and one polymerizable vinyl group and (B) an epoxy resin at 30-99:70-1wt% ratio in water.
