PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of the titled device by using a position corresponding to an intermediate part as a recording area, and at the time of recording/ reproducing, elastically contacting a magnetic head with the surface of the recording area and slightly bending a part of the recording area along the surface of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 1 is constituted of one discoid supporting member 2 and two sheet-like recording media 3. Each recording medium 3 is obtained by forming a magnetic layer 8 on the surface of a base film 7 consisting of polyester or polyethylene with slight flexibility and arranged on a recessed part 6 and the inner and outer peripheral parts of the recording medium 3 are fixed on the inner and outer periphery parts of the recessed part 6. The positions of the recording media 3 which correspond to the recessed parts 6 are used as the recording areas. The magnetic head 9 is fixed on the surface of a head supporting member 10 such as a thin metallic film having elasticity, and at the time of recording/reproducing, the magnetic head 9 is elastically contacted with the surface of the recording medium 3 on the basis of a head supporting member 10. Since the recording medium 3 is partially bent along the surface of the magnetic head, the adhesion of the recording medium 3 to the magnetic head 9 can be obtained.
