摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the exhaust gas purification rate by initiallizing the present value of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient to the newest average value, when acceleration/deceleration is demanded in the air-fuel ratio feedback control. CONSTITUTION:The captioned apparatus is equipped with a correction-coefficient calculating means 2 which gradually changes the air-fuel ratio feedback correction coefficient alpha to a small value when the output of an oxygen sensor 1 installed into an exhaust system is rich and gradually changes the correction coefficient alpha to a large value when the output is lean. A fuel feeding means 3 is feedback-controlled according to the fuel feeding quantity corrected by the correction coefficient alpha. In this case, the average value for each prescribed division of the correction coefficient alpha is calculated by a calculating means 4, and when the acceleration/deceleration demand is detected by an acceleration/ deceleration detecting means 5, the correction coefficient alpha is initiallized to the newest average value calculated by the average value calculating means 4, by an initiallizing means 6.
