PURPOSE:To realize a guiding device with a low cost and the high shifting accuracy by forming a guiding part at a fixing stand side and the guided part at a shifting stand side at the slanting surface of a pair of the same angles and shifting the shifting stand in the non-contacting condition through a floating means to the fixing stand. CONSTITUTION:The shifting stand 17 floats a little from the surface of guide members 13 and 14 by floating members 15 and 16, is kept to the condition of the non-contact and shifts the surface of the guide members 13 and 14 by a driving source 21. Since the guide members 13 and 14 and the floating members 15 and 16 are both formed to the reverse truncated chevron shape, both members are always satisfactorily fitted by the gravity of the shifting stand 17. Since the shifting stand 17 shifts in the condition of the non-contacting to guide members 15 and 16, without needing the high surface accuracy, most of the shifting accuracy of the shifting stand 17 is determined by the fitting accuracy of the guide member 13 and 14.
