PURPOSE:To prevent the initial chucking pressure from varying due to the centrifugal force during the rotation of a chuck body by providing chuck jaws and the fixing sections sliding along guide channels on the opposite side each other in relation to the rotary center of the chuck body. CONSTITUTION:The fixing section 3c of a chuck jaw 4c is inserted along the guide channel 2c of a chuck body 1 and fixed with bolts 8, then the fixing section 3b of a chuck jaw 4b along the guide channel 2b and fixed, and in addition, the fixing section 3a of the chuck jaw 4a along the channel 2a and fixed. Being moved in the direction of an arrow mark A to be inserted into the inside of a workpiece 5, the chuck jaws 4a, 4b, and 4c are kept being extended in the direction of an arrow mark B. In this case, each chuck jaw and each fixing section are positioned on the side opposite to each other in relation to the rotary center O of the chuck body 1, so that the initial chucking pressure increase caused by centrifugal force may be reduced by use of a simple constitution without an expensive pressure adjusting device.
