PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting and detachment of a film, by a method wherein the gap between roll shafts is made narrower at the time of mounting and detachment while widened at the time of transfer and a film is pressed to transfer paper between rolls. CONSTITUTION:A take-up film roll 46 and a supply film roll 47 are respectively mounted to a take-up roll holder 22 and a supply roll holder 34. The supply roll holder 34 is constituted so as to be made impossible to rotate relatively with respect to the supply roll shaft 25 in a film feed-out direction but possible to rotate reversely. The supply film roll 47 transfers to the side of a supply film roll external support part 56 from a film drum side through the entrance and exit 40 of a film cassette roll guide groove 39 and the open end of a groove 57 by operating a film drum, a deflector and a swing arm 60 and a film cassette gear 28 is meshed with a rack 58 to be contacted with the right end of the groove 57. The thermal head 58 supported by a head arm 87 is pressed to a platen 79.
