PURPOSE:To apply copying without uneveness of a picture by moving a handy type copying device main body along a guide means provided to a recording paper platen. CONSTITUTION:Thermosensitive recording paper 4 on the recording paper platen 1 and an original 6 on other plate 3 are supported by clamps 5, 7 respectively. A read section 11 of the main body 10 is placed on the original 6 and a thermal write section 13 is placed on the recording paper 4, the main body 10 is moved manually in the direction B along a main direction guide section 22 of a guide means 20 provided to the platen 1 to copy the prescribed width of the original 6. In sliding the sub direction guide section 21 toward the direction A and repeating the copying to copy the entire face of the original. Since the copying device main body 10 copies while keeping a prescribed attitude to the platen 1, copying without uneven picture is attained regardless of the use of handy type device.
